Applications are invited for an internship from suitable candidates who have completed a National Diploma in Information Technology or equivalent qualification.
The successful candidates will get exposure and be responsible in the following Key Performance Areas:
Duties and Responsibilities
1.Maintain accessible technology with current equipped hardware and software under supervision
To ensure maintenance of accessible technology hardware and software
a)Troubleshoot hardware, software and network operating system.
b)Disseminate with all hardware, software and network operating system
c)Provide orientation to new users of existing technology
d)Provide individual training and support on request.
e)Maintain current and accurate inventory of technology hardware, software and resources.
2.Monitor the effective use of technological services under supervision
In order to improve productivity :
a)Troubleshoot all technology issues
b)Maintain log and /or list of required repairs and maintenance.
c)Research current and potential resources and services
d)Make recommendations about purchase of technology resources
e)Provide network access to all staff and other stakeholders
f)Install network cables
g)Connect and set up hardware
h)Load all required software
i)Provide network accounts and password
j)Monitor security of all technology
k)Install and maintain proof and passwords
l)Input and maintain IP address
m)Advise staff of security breach and /or change in password or security status
n)Monitor installation of lock out programs
o)Identify and prepare hardware for disposal when appropriate
p)Monitor hardware is stripped and secured before disposal.
3.Facilitate helpdesk services.
To ensure effective help desk services:
a)Conduct quality technical support service to clients.
b)Provide support in windows-based software systems with a networking component.
c)Provide technical support on answering telephone, communicating with clients, diagnosing hardware and software malfunctions, troubleshooting problems, replacing hardware and installing new software on clients’ machines.
Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION
- Minimum Qualification: National Diploma in Information Technology or equivalent qualification.
- Preferred Qualification: B Degree in Information Technology or Equivalent qualification

- No work experience required
