Saldanha Bay Municipality is offering a Finance internship opportunity to a candidate wanting to gain work experience within a professional environment.

Purpose

This Municipal Financial Management Internship (MFMIP) is a structured professional work and training programme allowing candidates to engage in superior training and practical work in all aspects of the municipal treasury and budget office. The MFMIP consists of logical training sequences that add to the skills and competencies the candidate acquired at a tertiary level.

Duration: 1 year
Salary: R100 00 per annum

Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:

  • Must have completed a 3 year National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree with Financial Accounting as a major
  • Must be between the ages of 21 and 35 years old
  • Must be computer literate
  • Must be proficient in MS Office
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to work in a high pressured environment
  • Must have excellent communication skills
  • Must be fluent/ conversational in 2 of the 3 official languages of the Western Cape
  • Must be competent and committed
