SAPS Internships 2025/2026

The South African Police Service (SAPS) is inviting unemployed South African graduates to apply for the SAPS Graduate Recruitment Scheme 2025/2026. This is a 12-month internship programme designed to give youth valuable work experience in the public sector and improve their chances of permanent employment.

This programme forms part of the National Human Resource Development Strategy and the National Skills Development Strategy and is open to qualified applicants in all nine provinces of South Africa.

SAPS Internship Opportunities – Fields Available

The SAPS internships are offered in a range of administrative and support fields, including:

• Supply Chain Management
• Finance
• Crime Registrar
• Human Resource Management
• Strategic Management
• Legal Services
• Other SAPS components and departments

These internship positions are ideal for individuals seeking experience in government jobs, public administration, or law enforcement support roles.

SAPS Internship 2025 Requirements

To qualify for the SAPS internship programme, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Be a South African citizen
• Be unemployed and between 18–35 years old
• Must have a Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or NCV Level 4 qualification
• Must not have a criminal record or any pending cases
• Must not have previously worked in the field of the advertised post
• Must not have participated in any SAPS internship before
• Must be a resident of the province where the internship is advertised
• May apply for up to three (3) posts maximum (submit separate application forms)
